County Football League Division 4 North
Gavin Connolly and Pat McDermott took their troops to Kilcoole for their first outing of the season and came away reasonably satisfied having defeated the local team 3-7 to 2-7. Ashford had led 2-3 to 1-3 at the interval. Adrian Marah started his first game where he left off last year scoring a creditable 1-3 in the process. Paul Conyard made some very good saves during the game and Iarla O’Donnell was outstanding in defence. The team performed very well and will encourage the players to reproduce the same when they meet Newtown in Ashford next Thursday.
